Pinho Apartments, Studios and Rooms

The location of this accommodation is undoubtedly its best feature. However, my experience with the room setup was somewhat unusual. I stayed on the 3rd floor in an apartment that included a bedroom and a separate bathroom. To access the bathroom, I had to walk along a corridor, which was shared with two other rooms that were locked and inaccessible. This arrangement felt a bit strange and uncomfortable, as I could lock the main apartment door but not the bedroom door where I was sleeping. The presence of the other locked rooms added to the unease. In terms of heating, the situation was less than ideal. The bedroom relied entirely on an air conditioner for heating, which had to be kept on almost constantly. The bathroom, on the other hand, had only a small heater, which was insufficient to warm the space—it was perpetually cold, making it quite uncomfortable. Another downside to my stay was the lack of communication from the host. Despite multiple attempts to reach out through Booking and WhatsApp, I never received a response. This lack of responsiveness felt a bit unprofessional.

Nice and large rooms that have a decent city view. The room we had on the 3rd floor had a small standing space balcony with double doors that helped tremendously block out street sounds. The building however does not have an elevator. Daily housekeeping is extra money. Also, they asked for a refundable €50 room security deposit plus €8 tax in cash. The place is walking distance all the tourist sites and plenty of eating options. Also very close are the metro stations that can take you further into Porto or Gaia to visit the wine tasting places across the river. There was also a self-service laundromat 5 minutes away that we used.

Basic room is without living room an kitchen, was not a problem but also not clear from booking.com. also there appears to be someone living behind one of the closed doors, which seems weird. The bedroom and bathroom were fine, but awesome location!

In general nice place to stay, clean and equipped with necessary amenities. Great location. But we had no internet access (wifi signal was good), refrigerator was very noisy and air conditioning worked as a ventilation only. Luckily there was no heat outside those days.

The 'Taxi Service' is a rip off. Prices are made without taximeter and without telling you what you have to pay. There ia a deal between the reception and the taci company. I was on the way to the airport and didnt have the time to look for another option. Sorry, really unprofessional.
