5 / 5 Really great unexpected stay here. I had ended up needing an extra night in Porto and stumbles across so cool hostel online it was really resonably priced but what it made it worth more than this was Susana the wonderful receptionist. I was in a little despair after having a very long day in the city and Susana made me feel really comfortable and calm being a women travelling alone. She helped me with all of my travel plans and really took care of me. I can’t recommend enough for a few nights stay. Thank you Susana
4 / 5 i had a fantastic stay at this hostel during my trip to portugal, the atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and really well thought out for travelers, common area was clean, and the rooms were comfortable and tidy.
i also need to mention the young receptionist, who was absolutely lovely super friendly, helpful, and was happy to give tips about the area, she really made the experience amazing.
one thing i must mention, i was extremely hungry and i asked for another piece of bread and i wasn’t allowed it even though they were extras, would say absolute waste of food but the same young woman from reception gave me it.
overall, I’d definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting porto, nice location, great atmosphere, and wonderful staff
1 / 5 I arrived around 11 (I had already told them at advanced) and they never opened the door and left me at the street with out a place a to sleep and still made the charge. So don’t stay here with this cruel people.
3 / 5 The older woman who seems to own the place is very kind and caring, but I agree with other reviewers about the rules being strange. I would not recommend for more than a night to be honest. It was not one of the better hostels I've stayed in. I had to check in a day late, and they wouldn't let me stay there before check in time even though I had already paid for the prior day? And I asked to stay for a bit in the kitchen after I checked out to work at the table, and she said no. Especially if you are a remote worker I wouldn't recommend it
1 / 5 One of the worst places I've ever visited. There's discipline there like an army. They lock the entrance doors to the detention center even though it's isolated and there's a seating area.
In addition, and this is a matter of principle, the cost there is very expensive compared to the hostels around. They demand money to leave a bag for those who arrive two hours before check-in.
Their breakfast isn't even worth 1 euro. Those who are hungry buy bread outside. They're not fools.
I will never return to this place.
