The older woman who seems to own the place is very kind and caring, but I agree with other reviewers about the rules being strange. I would not recommend for more than a night to be honest. It was not one of the better hostels I've stayed in. I had to check in a day late, and they wouldn't let me stay there before check in time even though I had already paid for the prior day? And I asked to stay for a bit in the kitchen after I checked out to work at the table, and she said no. Especially if you are a remote worker I wouldn't recommend it
This was the strangest hostel I have ever stayed at. To give them credit it was very clean and safe so great for those reasons. The house rules were bizarre and very strict on quiet time and closing facilities. We got kicked out of our room at 11am fully woken from sleep in the morning for cleaning and weren’t allowed in our room for hours. We were told be quiet multiple times for just walking down a staircase in silence. The bathrooms were also terrible they have frosted glass walls so you can see people showering and going to the toilet. Locks were broken on both the showers and toilets. The wifi was UNUSABLE and they lied about it getting fixed when reviews showed it has been broken for a while. Ultimately staff gave an unfriendly vibe and I will not return.
I like this place because of big rooms, a lot of air and light in. Also I would give a huge like for a huge backyard where you can stay 8:30am till 10pm. The kitchen is big and can fit a lot of people. The personal and the owner is very helpful and kind. The hostel timings rules fits me very well, because I'm going to sleep at 9-10 pm and woke up at 6am. The hostel is clean, but sometimes the visitors make mud and loud. I'll stay here for a month more.
We stayed here in private room for two and had a great experience, there were no bed bugs and everything was clean and the location is near the metro station and city centre. We arrived before the check in and left our luggage for 2 eur there. Reception lady was really kind and explained house rules to us. Our bags were disinfected before we entered the room (it seems that they are just being cautious about bed bugs and other insects). Our room was on the top floor (the stairway was beautiful), it was small, but okay for two people and had air conditioner, night stand and chair. Of course, you can hear other people that are staying in the hostel, but it seems that by 23.00 it was quiet. The bathroom was seperate and shared with one room (there were two showers and one toilet, but you can lock the whole room). You can also use the kitchen till 22.00 and sit in the garden. The breakfast was included. We had some coffee (which was quite watery), some bread with cheese and ham and also you can have some cereal. It was fine for some small snack. When we checked out we left our luggage again for 2 eur and collected it afterwards. I would recommend this place (private rooms at least), seems that only bad reviews are for the rooms with bunk beds.
Clean BUT the staff were so unfriendly and had strangest vibe- absolutely no customer service skills, they didn’t let us in the hostel reception when we arrived earlier than check in, we couldn’t even store our bags there until the specific check in time, also worst designed bathrooms with no where to get changed and only 2 showers for all females in hostel???? Ridiculously pedantic about making noise, got told off for walking down the stairs loudly, also have daily cleaning of the room where they kick you out of the room from 11-2???? Literally woke us up at 11 and forced us out of the room. ALSO WIFI DOESNT WORK AT ALL
