I had an excellent stay here for a few days while visiting Porto. Not a party hostel, but they found a balance with having fun still. The common area loft is a great spot to work remotely from with comfy chairs and a beautiful view of the train station. Because it's in the train station, it's just a great location in general. Right in the middle of everything you'd want to see in Porto. The rooms themselves were great. The beds stack 3 high, and I was on the third one. Definitely less convenient but not bad. The lockers are massive and locked with your wristband which gets you into everywhere else you need. The bathrooms were good. Clean, plenty of space, and good hand and hair dryers. The shower was always hot and was a timed push button that lasted about 20 seconds which I didn't mind. Staff were friendly and there were a couple of events that they hosted each day. I met a lot of great people at this hostel

The Passenger Hostel in Porto has a fantastic location, right inside São Bento Station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Porto and neighboring cities. The facilities are outstanding—clean, modern, and beautifully designed with great common spaces and comfortable rooms. The attention to detail in the decor and the overall ambiance of the building added so much to my stay. However, my overall experience was marred by the behavior of one of the volunteers. I overheard her openly admit that she didn’t care about the other volunteers or the guests, which was disheartening. Additionally, several other comments either overheard or direct towards me felt unwelcoming and judgmental. Her attitude created a strange and uncomfortable vibe, not only for me but also for several other guests, that felt completely at odds with the hostel’s otherwise warm and inviting atmosphere. To the management: I strongly recommend revisiting the vetting process for volunteers. The core strength of a hostel lies in its sense of community and the interactions between staff and guests. Ensuring that volunteers are just as passionate and guest-focused as your employees would go a long way in maintaining the high standards you’ve set. While this incident was unfortunate, I’d still recommend The Passenger Hostel for its incredible location and amenities. With a few tweaks to the team dynamics, it could be perfect.

This is the BEST and most beautiful hostel I've ever stayed at! It is EXCEPTIONALLY clean, the beds are actually quite comfortable, and the ceilings in the entire building are so high, giving it a very elegant feeling; also, there's a dyson hair dryer in the women's' bathroom?! The security is fantastic as well. It's a very social hostel, but not like a crazy party hostel (however, they know how to have a good time:)) The breakfast tables are huge communal ones, so you're forced to sit with other people and make friends, which is really great for solo travellers. They have multiple hostel events every day led by volunteer staff, so there's always an opportunity to make friends and hang out. I had SUCH a great time here. The literal only downside is that there is a lot of construction right outside the train station, but they give you earplugs upon arrival, so I wasn't terribly bothered by it.

Best Hostel I visited so far! Right in the middle of Porto so you can easily walk everywhere. We had the 12-bed-room which was really big and totally fine for our group. I like the high ceilings which make the rooms look even bigger. The breakfast was available till 10:30 every day and quite nice for a hostel! Next time I‘m in Porto, I will definitely visit again!

Beautiful building located inside the train station. The high ceilings and beautiful architectural details make it feel luxury. Great bathrooms, lots of showers, and a DYSON BLOW DRYER!? Yes please. They keep all the abandoned toiletries so there’s always hair and skin products to use. A nice shower gel also provided in the showers. My first night they had free pasta dinner and karaoke in the lobby which was really fun. The bar in the lobby, upstairs giant hang out spot, and dining area provides a great place to hang out and socialize. Everything felt really clean and kept up. This is the 4th hostel I’ve stayed at in Porto and by far my favourite. (I’ve stayed at Lost Inn, One Fam, and Cats).
