The room, location, and most notably the service were incredible. We loved our stay and would absolutely return if visiting Porto again. A heartfelt thank you to the staff who truly make this a five star experience.
This review is specifically for Christmas Lunch 2025. Our 3rd Christmas here and the service was way down on previous years though the food was good. The ticket price went from €125 in 2021.€135 in 2024 and €140 this year. It’s a buffet and we are used to getting our own food but have never before had to ask for wine, water and coffee. Usually someone tops up before we empty a glass but this year we were offered a small glass of sparkling wine before the meal and then only red wine. My husband got a glass but I asked for white and never saw the wine waiter again. At those prices, and compared to previous years, we expected better.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our allocated room was spacious and well appointed. We had a phenomenal view of Porto. The location was great for the view but maybe not the best for exploring Porto. The service level was excellent. We enjoyed the tour of the wine cellar which was a highlight of our stay here. We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future and would recommend this hotel to any of our friends or family.
The visit to Yeatman for Afternoon Tea with friends was a pleasant experience. The food was excellent, though the tea felt more like an afterthought, and the tea infusion served in a wine glass felt a bit forced. The service came across as a little stiff, but the views are amazing, and the overall experience was good enough that I'd go back.
Do not miss a stay here! Recommended by a friend. Best hotel I have stayed at in Europe. The service was impeccable. The rooms incredible and the location is amazing. Breakfast was over the top delicious. Get a cappuccino when you have breakfast. Will come back.
