Albergue A Conserveira

Really a very decent albergue in my opinion. The place is quite clean and fairly modern, with good organization. There’s a kitchen available, and while a couple of small amenities are missing, it’s nothing dramatic. The Wi-Fi is a bit weak in the beds but very good in the lounge, and there’s an individual locker to store your belongings. The price is very reasonable: €15 for a bed in the dormitory, €7 for a full laundry service. Even though there are a lot of people in the dorm (around 40), the beds are spaced out enough so you don’t feel cramped, and there are small curtains for those who want a bit of privacy. There’s also a little outlet to charge your phone at night, which is extremely useful when walking the Camino. The only downsides are that they don’t provide towels for showering and there’s a slightly strange smell when you first enter the dorm, but overall I can only recommend the place.

The kind lady who works here today is an angle! She is dealing with a lot of laundry for so many people at the moment because of the bad weather on the Camino. And all of that with new pilgrims coming in on and on. What a wonderful person to work on the Camino. I feel very well looked after. The best service since Lisbon! Muchas gracias!!

Comfortable installation and kind service. There is a space to dry the clothes. Very clean and organize. Enough space in the kitchen. Be aware that it is just one big room for all the beds, separate by curtains. We didn’t have any problem with that.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The location is great, it is not necessary to go out the Santiago Way and it is nearby restaurants, supermarkets and a beautiful square. However, I got bed bugs (chinches) bites the night I stayed there. I let the hostel know, but they just haven't answered me.

This was my favourite hostel on the camino. So well thought out, and it was amazing to be in a room that isn’t boiling hot!!! It was so cool I’m there. Great facilities and location
