I have never been to a place where the host was extremely hostile and rude to the guests. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. The teenager working as a “receptionist” at the bar needs to get some anger management lessons as well as customer service skills. She was rude from the very beginning to the very end. The rooms have good isolated windows but if you close them you will suffocate and if you leave them open then you can hear all of the fuss and partying in the square. Be aware that under the hostel there is a bar that belongs to the same person who “welcomes” the guests. The only positive point about this place is the location, nothing else. 120€ for 1 night is a complete scam.
I stayed with my husband. When we arrived at the place, a man greeted us. He only gave us the key and left us at the door without explaining where the rooms were. He was rude. The rooms are small, but they have a bathroom. I was locked in because my husband left before me and they didn't explain to me that I had to open the door before leaving the key. Fortunately, a very friendly teenager arrived and opened the door for me since they don't have a reception and it was nine in the morning and there was no one there. The hostel has a cafeteria, which is great for having something to drink.
Excellent location, very nice people, very attentive to people, very clean rooms, right in the center of the city with the port next door, I will definitely come back.
Great location if you want to be in the middle of the nightlife in this exciting city. Accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable. Rooms are small and it can be noisy, but if being close to the bars and restaurants are important then it is an excellent choice.
The Hostal is above a bar and very hidden from view. If the bar is open you actually enter the Hostal through the bar, which is super confusing for first time visitors. The staff doesn't speak English. Nightmare for parking, go to Parkia (20€ per day). A bit pricey but good for a night over.
