It was suitable for our one night stay in Vigo for the start of our Camino. The receptionist was very nice and very helpful. Located right behind the Santiago de Vigo, but isn't on the Camino way. There's a mercado right across the street which was very convenient. The room and the beds were comfortable enough, but it was quite noisy outside with people walking and talking loudly in the wee hours of the night and cars passing by, and the windows did nothing to block the noise out. But overall an ok stay.
My mum and I stayed here whilst doing the Camino de Santiago. The room was small but the beds were comfortable. The service was exceptional, particularly from the lovely Suzanna who always made us feel welcome and provided us with excellent suggestions for places to dine in the city.
Our room was very small and the bathroom equally small. It was also very noisy with sound travelling from floors below through the stairwell. The staff on reception and in the restaurant were exceptional. Breakfast was both hot and cold buffet with the usual offerings for a Spanish breakfast. The heated pool was enjoyable but the spa function was not operable. No evidence of massage facilities. These would have been advantageous for Camino weary bodies.
This hotel is well placed for a city stay as its so close to the main shopping area as well as the sea front to get a ferry. The staff are all very helpful and go out of their way to make life easier for you. Our huge bikes needed to be up ended to fit one at a time in the lift and the receptionist just lifted the front and helped us bring them to a safe room. The restaurant attached was a perfect place for the menu del dia served at a sunny table outside. The lunch was excellent. The staff make this a uniquely enjoyable place. This included the barman, also the young woman who seems to have 5 jobs, the owner, all were so cheerful and helpful. Highly recommended.
Very close to the Camino and sites around town. Room was nice, but thin walls, so I would recommend ear plugs.
