Great location with onsite parking. Service was good, breakfast as well. Room had a fantastic view of the port & estuary. Only complaint was that there were no towels in the room when we checked in, some towels were subsequently delivered but didn't absorb water very well & shed everywhere
Be careful with expectations of price. Found this hotel at Booking app, read carefully rules for staying, it wasn't written that you have to pay for parking and for dog (small dog). In the end we over paid 80 euros per 2 days. 15 parking (not public) and 25 for dog each day. Room needs renovation, furniture is old. Hotel doesn't deserve 4 stars and price are not fair. If i knew the real price in general, i would choose other hotel without own parking and pay for public parking. There are more nicer hotels in Vigo without parking but they don't charge dogs.
We had a lovely stay. The hotel was very clean and fit for purpose. Our rooms were a nice size and had good amenities. The breakfast was inexpensive €10 pp. all of the staff weee friendly and very helpful, dealt with our requests. Especially the lady in the food area and the bar man :)). The hotel is located in a very good location right in the city. Close walk to port and other malls and cafe’s. Only negative I have is that there was no hair dryer iron in the rooms. Would be nice to have the bar on the roof open it was late April weather was decent enough. We would stay again. Thank you to all the staff at Axis Vigo. Brilliant value for money
This gets 4 stars purely because of Marina on reception. She was very helpful and always had a smile. The rooms are a bit dated and poorly lit. My room didn't have those things you would expect: kettle, tea, coffee etc. There was a minibar, but not very cold, although fairly priced. The rooms varied in what they offered. Mine had a shower head over the bath, whilst my mate had a rainfall shower and steam room. Reception did do their best to accommodate us and make our stay comfortable. Probably a 3* hotel but as I said before, it was made more bearable by the excellent staff.
This hotel in central Vigo, Galicia, Spain is a marvellous boutique style hotel and excellent value. It has attractive modern decor and our room was very good sized with a large sliding door wardrobe, black out curtains & bronze nets as well. We had shower over bath and excellent modern bathroom with top quality maid service . Very quiet so the rooms must have good windows. Very helpful staff and plentiful breakfast with good choice and cool mineral water available . Its prize asset is location. Very central but on a fairly quiet road . I recommend exploring side streets for quiet routes to shops & sites. Close to bus station and old historic city & 10 to 15 mins walk to the promenade . So glad I accompanied my family on their business trip to this hotel and to Vigo . Only 2 hours from Porto and around one hour 30 mins from Santiago .
