R4 Vigo Hostel

One of the nicest places on the Camino Portugues de Costa. My stamp was made with wax, a really special experience for me. The place was really nice - clean, tidy, fresh. Friendly service. The kitchen was very small - i can imagine that with more people, that would be an issue. And there was no possibility to actually cook. But besides that, very comfortable.

Basic hostel. Lots of beds w accompanying lockers. We were right next to downstairs bathrooms… which smelled very musty. Yuck. Three showers/bathrooms. Was hot at night, my friend couldn't sleep well at all. The common area/kitchen was nice but small. Right off Camino, which is nice.

Kitchen does not have stove or knives/cutting board so don't expect to cook a big meal, just microwave meals. They did have coffee and milk. Small breakfast sitting area as space is a premium in the city. Small lounge in the back. No outdoor space to dry your clothes, you need to use their washing machine(fee). Bed area is quite nice and quiet.

Strict check-in policy but very organized. Very accommodating receptionist. The sleeping quarter is clean, well lit and airy. It is also centrally located.

Terrible place to stay in, it doesn’t have the Camino spirit at all. No one interacts, people are on their own and they also steal your food. We woke up at 6 am to start el Camino and we discovered that someone stole our fruits for breakfast. Come on, what kind of solidarity you have with other peregrinos!
