We stayed here during the camino and it was not worth our money. When we arrived and wanted to go to sleep, we noticed a lot of hairs on the mattress. They definitely weren’t ours. We decided to sleep in our sleeping bags. During the night there was a lot of noise because of the bars down the street and there were little sockets in the room. There was a bright lamp beneath the tv that stayed on the entire night. We never saw the owner which was a little weird and very impersonal. When I gave her a bad rating on booking with exactly this (^) message she texted me to take down my review because it was a lie. She added a picture of our room from how we left when we were out into the city. We wanted new sheets but we were not smart enough to take our stuff of the bed (our fault!) but that’s no reason to text me and blackmail me into removing my review. Also isn’t it illegal to take a picture of our stuff? I don’t know but that’s creepy as hell and doesn’t feel right. To keep it short: I do not recommend this place.

Whatever you do, do not stay here. Our bedsheets were very clearly not changed, because they were full of other people's hairs and not only from their heads... we noticed this at night when we went to bed so we slept in our own sleeping bags. We also just got a gross blanket with no cover over it and one fluffy blanket with really gross brown stains on it. We put these on the floor because we obviously weren't going to sleep under them. The next morning we put the 'please come in and clean' sign on the door in hopes that she would change the bedding this time but she texted us that evening that she couldn't do it because 'all our stuff' was on the bed (there were only 2 sleeping bags on there). After we left, my friend who booked the room wrote an honest review and now comes the worst part: the lady (who we, by the way, never even met) texted us threatening to delete our review and to 'stop lying' and that WE left it a mess and that she would show booking.com a picture of OUR mess. Then she sent us a picture she apparently took while she was in our room to 'clean' which I'm pretty sure is not even legal, which she intended to show booking.com. It showed the beds with our sleeping bags and the dirty blankets on the floor. Feels violating and also insane to threaten US in this case.. anyway, do NOT go here.

We stayed in W14 Hostales on our night in Vigo during our camino and even though we slept in public albergues most of the time, this experience unexpectedly became by far the worst. The initial shock after arrival and long struggle with the broken door handle of our room came when we found out the room did not feature a window (only a small window under the ceiling which led to shared living room). From the description of it on Booking, I could have never guessed that. When I tried to call the phone number from the reservation, the lady (who did not speak any English) was nice and offered to bring us a second fan if the temperature was too hot. Even though it was quite hot, that was not the real issue... The worst part only came at night. In the living room there were people drinking, smoking and shouting, still long after midnight. We could hear and smell it all through that small "window" we had to keep open because of the heat. Furthermore, the window from the living room was also open so we could also hear noise from two very noisy pubs down on the street. It was my second time in Vigo and even though I sleptthe first time there in a hotel of the B and B chain which was only a street away, their street was perfectly quiet. The only upside was surprisingly clean shared shower.

Three stars bc of the location. The place it self is really nosie, we couldn't sleep! It's like sleeping in a very busy bar all night long. Rooms and facility are not too bad for the price but... there is no way to sleep there.

We booked last minute, and for the price, all we could find elsewhere in central Vigo were bunk beds. Here it was a double room with a shared bathroom. Check ✅ The decor might not be everyone's cup of tea, but the hostel is clean, the bathrooms seem newly renovated and spotless, and the beds are comfy. My only thought was, "This wall could use a bit of a re-touch." But really, that's nitpicking. Another check ✅ The reception isn't open 24/7, but the staff ensures they're there for your check-in. The receptionist's communication style is a bit unique, but everything went smoothly. Third check ✅ The area gets lively on weekends. It's not a full-blown party under your window, but there are tables outside the bars and people chatting late into the night. If you're here to enjoy your weekend and don't plan on going to bed early, another check ✅ However, if you need a good night's sleep for early travel, you might want to reconsider. Speaking of travel, Urzáiz station is just minutes away. Final check ✅
