Excellent location, in the heart of Vila Praia de Âncora and 1min walk from the beach. The owner is nice to talk to, a lifetime of experience. The room is spacious, the floor could have been cleaner but it´s fine. The shower was great too. There is a common room with a place to sit, microwave and fridge in case people want to buy some food. Sound insulation is poor but it´s perfectly normal, I always take earplugs to such places. Check out is super easy too. I will return!
Excellent place to stay!! Amazing location. The rooms are clean, comfortable and prepared for the beach. Wonderful common room with frig, microwave and kettle. My only request is that the rooms have a ceiling fan or some type of fan.
NOISY!! No idea how it’s not been mentioned on other reviews but good luck getting to sleep before 2am. Bars and restaurants below and the walls/windows have poor sound proofing so you hear everything. Worst was the tables and chairs being put away in the early hours and this was a Monday night! Should also be noted that whilst basic, cleanliness isn’t up to scratch. If someone took the time to clean the shower properly then they would realise the shower tray in room 5 leaks all over the floor. The grout is white in some places and black in others. Silicone is black around the bottom of the tray and needs replacing. We sacrificed a towel to stop the water leaking further. No hairdryer and nobody to ask. The guy on reception was friendly enough but disappeared as soon as the key was in our hand. Communal kitchen area was ok and nice to have somewhere to sit other than in the room but bizarre that there is no sink to wash dishes or refill water bottles. The basins in the bedrooms aren’t ideal for either. Would recommend somewhere a little further out of town for a quieter stay with better attention to detail. Glad it was only 1 night.
Wow, highly recommended for everyone and! PELGRIMS. But can be noisy outside due to the restaurants. So keep the shutters closed. Or ask for a room on the back of the building
