About CaminoMaps

Practical Camino planning, connected to the route

CaminoMaps is a Camino planning and navigation product built around a connected route graph. It helps pilgrims compare routes, plan realistic stages, find pilgrim accommodation, and keep the itinerary in one place.

Who publishes this site

The CaminoMaps Editorial Team maintains the route guides, planning resources, locality pages, and accommodation directory published on CaminoMaps. Product and content work are informed by the same structured trail data used by the CaminoMaps app.

How the guides are built

Localities and route connections come from one consolidated trail dataset. Shared stops are represented once and labelled with every Camino route they belong to. This prevents the same place from being presented as several different destinations simply because routes overlap.

Accommodation pages focus search indexing on albergues, hostels, and municipal pilgrim stays. Broader hotel and apartment data remains useful inside the planning product, but it is not treated as the core editorial directory.

Accuracy and corrections

Routes, services, prices, opening dates, and accommodation details can change. Treat CaminoMaps as a planning aid and confirm time-sensitive information with the relevant operator before relying on it. If you spot an error, use the support page so it can be reviewed against the source data.

Our standards

Read the editorial policy and data methodology for how pages are selected, updated, attributed, and corrected.
