Magnificent medieval city! The Basque Country in its purest form, just the way we like it! An attractive town, well worth the detour. In short, I recommend it...
One of the most beautiful French towns, with a hint of Mount St. Michael, it's home to a multitude of pilgrims and their souvenir shops, as well as some excellent restaurants. The walk to the citadel is well worth the detour. If you're on the GR10, the municipal campsite is ideally located.
Great country, very welcoming in the souvenir shops, good for bringing back a small souvenir at a reasonable price. Great little restaurant with a family-friendly and festive atmosphere. A pleasant country for a short break before continuing the mountain range; it's a must-see for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago.
A very pretty village, definitely worth a visit. The municipal campsite near the center is very clean and convenient, costing €15.00 for 24 hours with electricity and access to the toilets for campervans. However, there is no water or waste disposal. Be aware that the signs near the ramparts are not very clear when looking for it.
