I was very disappointed with this hotel. For such a large hotel that welcomes so many guests, it is hard to understand why the bar does not open until 7:00 a.m. Many guests leave as early as 5:00 a.m., yet there is no way to get even a cup of coffee or tea before then. To make matters worse, the rooms do not even have a kettle. It feels like stepping back into the Middle Ages. The furniture is old and in need of renovation, and the Wi-Fi connection is very slow and unreliable. For a hotel that claims to offer a high standard of service, these shortcomings are difficult to accept. The breakfast is very basic and lacks variety. It mainly consists of cold cuts, croissants, yogurt, fruit, water, orange juice, and coffee of very poor quality, which is far below what you would expect from a hotel of this size. Another disappointing aspect was the attitude of the reception staff. I found them unfriendly and unnecessarily aggressive, which made the overall experience even worse. The only positive aspect of this hotel is the large and easily accessible parking area. Apart from that, my stay was well below expectations. Unfortunately, I would not return and I cannot recommend this hotel.

We chose hotel Scala because there wasn't too much available in the town of Padrón but it turned out to be the best decision. The room was spacious and the staff excellent. Breakfast was generous and with lots of variety. We loved the spacious and comfortable cafeteria and enjoyed an afternoon coffee. The atmosphere was so nice that we decided to have dinner there also. Loved the mini scallops. Muchas gracias por todo.
Wouldn’t recommend this hotel, location is 2.5k from Padron and there is nothing around there just a very busy road. It would have been ok if the hotel was really nice and had good food but unfortunately this was not the case. The restaurant had a really strong smell of disinfectant and was completely empty, the bar upstairs had the TV blaring so it was impossible to even hold a conversation. The staff behind the bar completely ignored us when trying to order a drink. We eventually gave up and decided a 5k round trip on foot was still better than eating in this place.
Nice hotel, not in the old part of Padron, near freeway (I was wrong, this hotel is on the way out of Padron on the Camino). Make sure you get there before 4:00 pm, they have a great affordable restaurant with menu del Dia! Lots of choices on the daily pilgrim menu. Friendly staff at the desk. Rooms are about a 2 star, small, oldish, but sufficient for the conscientious pilgrim, wouldn't want too much luxury now, would we 😁? Adequate breakfast served. Just enough is good. Final resting place before Santiago.
The hotel, located a bit outside Padrón, was our choice after failing to find any available accommodations in the city. However, we were disappointed to find that our room faced the street, resulting in excessive noise that made it impossible to sleep at night. The room itself was dated, lacking air conditioning, and the mattress was covered in a plastic sheet that made it unbearably hot during the night. The bathroom was equally outdated, with no shower, only a bathtub that had a broken showerhead that would fall onto the ground whenever I turned on the water. To top it off, the breakfast was disappointing, consisting of a collection of unappetizing food items. Worst hotel of our Camino so far. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.
