Albergue municipal de peregrinos de Sarria

Dear fellow pilgrim, this is by no means the best place to stay in Sarria. The receptionist was kind and the building itself is nice, but right now it’s seriously lacking resources. Each bed has a light and a USB-A charger, but around 85% of them (at least on my floor, with 25 beds) don’t actually work. There are no power strips or extra outlets to make up for it either. In the kitchen, the tables were dirty and there weren’t even mugs for coffee or a kettle. If this was a donation-based or more rural albergue, it could be excused. But when you’re paying €10 and don’t even get the basics, it makes more sense to go somewhere else in the €10–12 range. With just a few more resources, this place could be great and actually compete with the other hostels.

Kitchen has just microwave, fridge & ability to cook. You need your own pots / pans, oil, etc. Beware that there are also no blankets. Otherwise clean & good spot in the city, with supermarket in the near

"We have a kitchen" means they have a stove, but not even a spoon , or a cup or a plate , not a pot , nothing ! They have a show stove. And after being told ,the reception lady said to me " no municipal albergue has kitchen utensils " ... lady ,please ...So disrespectful towards the pilgrims,honestly. Sockets are missing ,rooms are crowded, bathrooms are quite sad ... You are making loads of money off pilgrims, so please put in some effort!!!

For some reason, they fill up the beds in numerical order, so everyone is on top of each other, and half the room is empty. Good views and light

The albergue was nice and cozy, with hot water in the shower and the workers were nice and helpful. The only bad thing was that the heater was too high. Very recommenable place :)
