This is a great place to stay, as good as albergues get. Food was good and it was the best lentil soup I have had which was served with more than enough wine for the pilgrims.
A wonderful place to rest after about 30 km from Santiago. A very comfortable, clean and pleasant place to stay if you are traveling between Santiago and Muxia/Fisterra.
We stayed here Friday, Sept 26th. It might be the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed at! We got a private double room and it was immaculate. It is right next door to the Cafe/Bar Alto De Pena, which made it convenient for dining. The proprietor spoke English and was super helpful. We opted for the pilgrims dinner, but we wish we had gotten something from the bar service instead. The cafe opens at 7am and serves a full breakfast menu…. Also you can get sandwiches to pack for your days journey. We would definitely stay here again.
Staff is friendly, beds are nice and affordable. The kitchen happens to have no pots and pans so you have no choice but to have the hostel dinner, which was nice, but it is also nice to have an option.
