Maycar

Booked this hotel due to the location and parking. On arrival we were told that infact didnt have any parking available and we would have no chance of finding anywhere near by due to there being a football game on. We found somewhere to park eventually on the outskirts and checked in to the hotel to find that there was hair all over the sink, a ball of hair inside a towel and some sort of yellow slime on top of the toilet cistern. Although it is considered a cheaper option at €61 a night that shouldn’t be at the cost of cleanliness

Great hotel in a fantastic location to visit this great city. Difficult to find better prices out there. Rooms are basic but really clean, and the hotel provides new towels, gel and shampoo daily, which is nice. Service is also really good, with very nice people, and they have a very decent coffee area downstairs to enjoy breakfast at a great price. If you're travelling with a limited budget, this is your place. You won't get anything like this at these rates elsewhere.

We had an 8th floor room. It was nice. The bathroom and shower were fantastic. The bedroom just needs a bit of TLC and modernising. Cream or white paint would be the icing on the cake. It is such a good location.

Excellent location. The room is basic but pretty good value for money. The room was tidied/fresh towels supplied daily. The hotel is clean and feels safe. Some negatives to consider: The area is noisy and you can hear cars and noisy motocycles, bars, people, skateboards, Seagulls. No air-conditioning or fan so I had to sleep w/windows open. When the weather isn't warm the windows might provide some noise reduction but not sure they could be upgraded to soundproof the room completely. Wifi connection did not work although the router appeared to be near the room. Connection was established but signal strength was zero so pages didn't load. That was disappointing. I told a person at the desk but not sure what was done about it. Continental breakfast was ok but cheap some things didn't taste good: croissant, cinnamon roll, orange jam.

Every time I go to Coruna I stay at Maycar. The best thing this place has is its staff. There is no better staff than the one that works at Maycar. They guide you, pamper you, care for you, and give you the best of themselves. The place is super clean and the location couldn't be better. Just with a phone call or an email , they reserve a room for you in addition, they suggest places that are reasonable for the clients to purchase as well as assist you with any request. I wish some high end hotels were as good as Maycar. I will tell everyone to stay in this great place.
