in the winter, only private rooms are available. I arrived with another pilgrim at the bar (where check-in happens / keys are handed off) and the owner drove us to the albergue (very grateful for this on a very rainy day!!) the shower was hot and the bed was comfortable they picked us up again a few hours later to enjoy dinner at the bar - waaaay more food than we could possibly finish, everything tasty, and a ride back to the albergue afterwards we set a time for them to bring us back to the bar in the morning - after some coffee we took bocadillos to go thank you so much for the hospitality during a very wet and windy Camino!!!

I’m seeing a lot of bad reviews so I wanted to write my experience. I arrived around 7PM, there was a phone number on the door, I called, the lady showed up in few minutes, she was very nice. She asked do I want a dinner, I said no, she then said that I can use the kitchen if I have my own food. Albergue was nice and clean, as any other albergue so far. So all in all, very nice experience.

We have been here one time during the Camino to Finisterre. The place is not bad the kitchen is there but not installed so they try to convince you to pay the dinner in their restaurant. When we arrived she told us that she was taking our IDs to the restaurant to do the check-in and later we could get back at dinner (so she wanted to convince us to make dinner there 12€). I didn't want to make dinner because I found a better place so we had to go with her to make the check-in at the restaurant without even the time to rest. We did the check-in and to convince us to pay with cash she told us that with credit card she needed the number of the credit card and the expiration date like are you crazy??? Finally in the night it was extremely hot we asked when she was getting back people form the dinner to switch on the climatización and she invented that it was automatic but it was clearly switched off and indeed it didn't work. Finally in the morning me and a friend took 2 cafe con leche 2 napolitanas and 1 fruit and she told us that minimum pay with credit card was 10€ (what a casualty?) and when I asked the prices she didn't respond to me and only made is pay. Very suspicious and really unpleasant behaviour avoidthis hostel if you can and stop 1.5 km before.

The place is beautiful but it is run by the strangest couple on the entire Camino. Quite unpleasant people who are not very skilled in communicating with pilgrims and are not familiar with the standards in albergues and Caminos. This is the impression they give ...

There was no one when i wanted to Check in, after i called the woman who runs this albergue someone came with a car to Pick me up and drive me to the Bar 300 meters away from the hostel to Check in (?). The woman didnt talk to me and she served her guests of the Bar first. She offered me a Table and that i could order something but i just wanted to Check in. It took 30 minutes for her to finally Check me in and her friend drove me back to the hostel. Completely unnecessery. The bedroom was dark and tiny. You have NO mobile reception in and around the building and the WiFi doesnt work all the time.
