I don't usually leave reviews and I usually read reviews before I book a stay. I took a chance on this location and it was worth the risk. Check in was easy. There is a shop with plenty of provisions. The staff was very kind, even when Pilgrims were not. I found the food to be plentiful and delicious. This is my 6th albergue experience and I thought that it was a good one. 😀

A standard albergue (bunk beds, toilet and shower facilities). No kitchen. A nice feature is the convenient “mini supermarket” at reception. The dinner offer at €12 is at the San Andre hostel restaurant. Nice that you have a choice of several starter dishes and main courses. Wine ok but limited to a bottle per 6 people, no more! Breakfast at reception €4 is rather meager but little choice, until you wait for the first nearby village.
Food service is horrifying, think prison canteen with kid’s menu portions. Did not get the room I reserved for but one shared with more people than advertised. Avoid, they are running a ruthless business with no passion. You are not treated like a pilgrim but like a tourist to skin.
Nice albergue with decent wooden beds and central heating in the rooms. Bathrooms are clean and staff was very friendly and helpful.
Super kind hosts, very clean, comfy beds and hot showers!
