5 / 5 Love it here and I hope that you will too
3 / 5 Small campsite in the town of Miño, right on the beach, open from June to September. Three stars for the location. Outdated sanitary facilities, but clean. Small pitches.
Motorhome for 2 people, electricity and dog, €35. Bar nearby. No bread service. Friendly welcome from the owner. Be patient if check-in is done by staff.
5 / 5 A peaceful spot right on the beach, though it doesn't offer great luxuries at the moment, the surroundings are perfect for relaxing and enjoying a laid-back atmosphere at the foot of Miño's Playa Grande, and Miño has so much more to offer. I highly recommend it.
3 / 5 I stopped there for a day during a cycling tour, and it more than fulfilled its purpose as a rest stop. The pitches were well-maintained, both in terms of the grass and the shade; in my case, it was a very nicely done pergola.
I'd say it's run by a single person, who handles both maintenance and reception; I didn't see anyone else there.
Miño beach is right across the street, so I give it a 10 for location.
The café/shop was completely closed, and what used to be the terrace was poorly dismantled, which, along with the somewhat uninviting entrance to the campsite, gives it a Chernobyl-like feel. It could definitely benefit from a little TLC to improve that first impression.
The toilets and showers transport you back to the 80s, although they were acceptably clean. For a toilet, they have the legendary "black hole" with the two footprints left by man on the moon, which I personally prefer for hygiene reasons over shared toilets. Besides, the squat potty position is much healthier for defecating... and you get a free squat as a bonus.
3 / 5 It's a great place, the man helps you in every way he can, the bathrooms are clean, but everything is very old and somewhat neglected.
