Cannot recommend this highly enough & deserving of its reputation! The atmosphere created by Alison and Alberto is exceptional - so homely, comfortable and inclusive. It is the perfect environment to meet likeminded pilgrims & share stories. It speaks volumes that all of us staying that night stayed in touch and reminisce about Bodenaya. In my opinion, the best albergue on the camino. The hosts are extremely friendly, will give you some great advice, and the food is delicious. They will also wash your clothes and have a lot of interesting stories to tell. Simply amazing!
A truly magical place and one of my favorite albergue experiences. The people I met here early in my walk set such a warm and welcoming tone for the rest of my journey. It’s clear that so much love and care goes into maintaining this space. The hosts were wonderful—generous with their stories, helpful to pilgrims, and great at creating a sense of community. Clean showers, comfy beds, and incredible food. Forever grateful for my time here.

You also meet your Camino family here! I think everyone must stay here as they receive such a unique experience.
