Stayed here a couple of year ago and it was a small historic albergue that covered the basics and a really great rate. no dinner but a vending machine and there are restaurants close by. Nice simple Albergue on the Camino Francés pilgrimage route

Very quaint albergue steeped in history run by a nice family. A true pilgrim experience. One reviewer claimed there were rats, but I didn't see any - only a precious little cat and two adorable dogs. And, beer in the vending machine. I repeat, BEER in the vending machine. There was a very communal vibe, and we had some fantastically deep conversations in the courtyard. An experience I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
RATS The albergue itself was bad enough with crumbling walls, rickety beds and open air bathrooms right next to the beds that stink up the whole place. However I was willing to let it slide until a rat bigger than my head scurried right past me along the wall and disappeared through a huge crack. At that point I called it quits and immediately left to the next albergue (which was much better) It might be a little cheaper but it’s absolutely not worth it, I would rather sleep outside in the forest. DO NOT STAY HERE
Exactly a year ago, my wife and I stayed at this albergue. Although the place is not a 5 star hotel... it is more than adequate and welcoming to Peregrinos walking El Camino. The host was very helpful and he was happy that we were from Canada. The place was comfortable and the facilities clean. I do understand that the washrooms/showers are a bit odd in terms of the layout but this is an old building and they had to build the amenities with what they had... and they did a good job. At the very least it is clean and a good place to rest after a long walk. We had a good stay and we would repeat our stay next time we walk El Camino
Great host, unique, historic place to stay. Was lovely to spend a night. Thank you
