Her natural beauty, sincere kindness, and rare humility deeply impressed us. She was always present yet never intrusive, ready to help with anything and made us feel like very special guests from day one. The property is beautifully maintained, striking the perfect balance between historic charm and modern comfort. Our room was spotless, quiet, and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was varied, fresh, and served in a lovely setting that invites you to slow down and savor the moment. The location is ideal – just steps from the Cathedral and the vibrant center of Porto, yet in a peaceful area that offers perfect relaxation after a day of exploring. We wholeheartedly recommend Maria da Sé Historic House to anyone looking for an authentic, refined, and truly human experience. We stayed with Maria for four nights. We stayed in the studio. Having our own private view of Porto was a highlight of the trip. We appreciated the complimentary port wine and fresh towels every day. The breakfast was delightful and a good way to connect with other travelers staying with Maria. The location was unbeatable, down a quiet street right outside all the main attractions. Like others have said, the stairs were challenging but part of the charm =) the rooms were simple and clean. Great value!

Guesthouse is just in the heart of Porto, easy to get around all the main sites just by 10-15’ walk. Rooms were nice, clean and functional, a bit small but enough for just a sleepover as there are many things to do and see all around.

Real good Time at this little cute hôtel! The woman preparing the breakfast (cœliaque) every morning was great. The position of that place is amazing if you wanna enjoy the good spot in porto.

Maria is a wonderful hostess. She greeted us with the utmost hospitality and warmth. She was so gracious in offering to help make sure our visit to Porto was enjoyable, and it was. The room was tidy and clean. The location was central to everything we wanted to see and experience. I would recommend staying at her wonderful house.
