Very regrettable decision to stay at Hostal Casa Julio ☹️ For nearly €100 per night, Hostal Casa Julio provided me a room directly over a very busy boulevard, with traffic noise throughout the night, forcing me to shut the windows completely to block some of the noise. The problem - no aircon and no fan, in the middle of August! I asked the manager if she had a fan and her answer was a hard NO, telling me that the temperature in the last days was unusually warm and that it would cool off at night. Neither was true, and so I spent I three horrible nights trying to sleep in a hot box, the only way I could get some air circulating in the room was to open my room door and stand there swinging it back and forth. In addition, I was not told that the room was an accessible room, with the bathroom sink at a very low and difficult height. If this Hostal was concerned about the comfort of its guests, it would provide a simple fan during the hot days, but clearly, that is not a concern. And they should have told me up front that it was an accessible room. If I had known these two things, I would not have booked the room. And I guess that’s why they don’t tell you. And it’s too bad, because the room was large, the bed was comfortable, the parking on the street nearby is easy, and the cafe downstairs is excellent. But I’m giving it one star because management should know that simply providing a €10 fan, instead of telling me all the reasons why they don’t have a fan, would have turned this review from 1 star to 5 star.

Fantastic location that's just a 5 minute drive to A Coruña airport. Lovely clean rooms, friendly helpful service, and some tasty dining close by (I recommend eating at Chemex for great Venezuelan food). We had an early flight the following day, and the manageress arranged a taxi to pick us up at 5am. Would happily recommend this hotel.

A renovated hotel, but without air conditioning. Its location directly under the north axis of the airport runway makes it impossible to open the window. Following the owner's comment, I want to clarify that my observation applies to all seasons. Indeed, during my stay, I didn't need to air out the room. However, there was a smell of cleaning products. So I opened the window. And that's when I noticed that planes fly several hundred meters above the building. Absolutely avoid this hotel if the temperature rises and you have to sleep with the window open.

It's perfect, very close to A Coruña airport and with excellent transport links. Very quiet and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean. 10 out of 10!

Everything was as described. The rooms were in excellent condition, comfortable, clean, etc. The staff were very friendly, both upon arrival and throughout our stay. The breakfasts in the cafeteria were very good with a wide variety of options. Everything is nearby, and there's a bus stop right next door for visiting A Coruña.
