Public Pilgrims Hostel in Pola de Allande

Advantages: - Location is good, - right on the entrance to the town, close to the center. - Kitchen. - Warm shower. Minuses: - Very dirty: sticky stains on the matrasses, atrocious sponges for cleaning the dishes in the kitchen, floor, walls, - everything is very dirty. Looks like nobody cleans here at all except of trash bins and replacement of toilet paper. - No locks in the female toilet and shower. Literally not possible to close the door when being in the toilet. - No receptionist in place, replies the phone though. - No bed shits. It's my 29th day on Camino and I havent seen a worse alberge than this. I would happily pay more for stay here, - just ensure cleaning, please. Such a pretty town and such a bad alberge...

How can such place be valued?? It is always open and offers you a bed in a season when everything is closed. The host is a unique person that cares and provides you with everything. Even though this place is very bad in terms of installations, not quite clean, the night is cold, true, but for me it would be sleeping on the street otherwise… and it is 10€ per night as for 01.26

Great place to overnight on the camino 5 minutes walk to town which has several atms supermarkets and a launderette also has good spacious showers and seperate toilets large dining area and sofas to relax on

I walked by and called. Texted. No answer. It must have been open. Luckily, I was put up at the hotel next door.

It has a pellet stove and it gets very warm. In my opinion, it could use a little more cleaning.
