Nice place and lovely kind host, no kitchen facilities (just a microwave and a kettle available) it’s tiny but very quiet when we got there. Location is top, got a lovely view over Barcelos and the bridge. Showers not so clean and mouldy inside, bed oldish but comfy We paid €10

Does the job! This albergue was €10, which was a fair price for what you get. The room has about 18 bunks but was less than half full when we stayed. It was actually one of the best nights sleep I got on the Camino because nobody there snored! The showers don’t have any separation, which was odd, but as long as people shower one at a time it should be fine. Barcelinhos is a pretty town and the albergue is right on the river. The town was quiet enough to sleep with the windows open.

So, very friendly fellow who welcomed me. Loved his enthusiasm! The beds are sad and back breaking. Plugs for phones are scarce. Roof leaks. Bathroom shower is odd. Shared is one thing but this was strange. There were some blankets in a storage closet and a heater for the large room. Room is dark and crowded. Location is awesome. I needed to sleep and this was a roof. I would suggest trying another spot.
