What a great find! Walking in the rain and came upon this beautiful place. Great rooms each with its own mini-split so excellent control over the heating. The owner took our wet clothes in a hamper and delivered them back washed and dried (reasonable fee). We ordered in pizza and sat in the lovely kitchen where there are lots of things available to eat and drink on an honor system. And then in the morning came down to a large beautiful dining room ready with included breakfast. Perfect stop!!

Mar de Frisia has a very relaxing and comfortable vibe. This is our third time back and it was spectacular. The breakfast was excellent and got us ready to get back on our camino. It is always a pleasure to stay here. Thank you Mar de Frisia

My wife and I spent several days at Mar de Frisia and enjoyed it immensely. The hostess was delightful, the food’s outstanding and the accommodations exemplary. It was too cold to use the swimming pool when we were there, but I’m sure that’s an added bonus in the summer months after a long day on the Camino!

Wonderful, tranquil space with friendly hosts. Homey atmosphere. We shared a family dinner that included the best bbq chicken I’ve had (and I live in Texas!). Swimming pool was refreshing after a long day. I appreciate the self service beverage fridge that was well stocked with soda, beer, and water. All in all would recommend to a friend.

Edit: you were playing paddle when we arrived, so I don't see it as "calling you away". Our luggage was delivered by taxi Camino and was left outside, because you were not there. Many other guests were complaining in comments about bad smell. And while talking about proximity to Atlantic ocean, I live exactly on the Basque Coast, my flat doesn't smell though. The bathroom has corroded equipment from previous century. --- Inadequate relation between price& quality. Room with a smell mentioned in previous reviews. Cold in the morning. We felt like we were in a care home. Each piece of furniture in the room has different origins. Basic breakfast. The owner is not attentive to that business (not there when we arrived, had to call her). The most expensive accommodation which we had during our Camino and the most disappointing. In the hostel for €17/pp we were welcomed with home made lemonade, at this property you need to pay for coffee& tea, when paying €90 for room.
