5 / 5 This albergue exceeds all expectations! After a long day of walking you can finally relaxt and completely let go. The hosts immediately make you feel welkome and at home. You feel in every detail the love for the Camino and the pilgrims. The hosts are incredibly friendly, helpful and take care of everything you need. They set an atmosfeer which makes it easy to relax, be yourself and connect with other pilgrims. The dinner is a delicious home cooked meal and the breakfast is the most extensive I have had on the Camino. This Albergue was by far the best Albergue I stayed at and a treasured memory of my Camino❤️
5 / 5 We had a wonderful stay at this place, runned by a very friendly warm and welcoming couple and volunteers. The rooms are cosy and very clean, and the beds very comfortable. You really feel the love and attention they put in their work: a fresly cooked meal (even vegetarian for one of us!), laundry was done for us, homemade Dutch apple pie for dessert, nicely set up table and good talks. The breakfast was also really nice and extensive. We definitely would recommend this place and would love to come back! Our favourite stay during our Camino!
5 / 5 El Texu is one of the best Albergue experiences I have had in my 3 Camino routes. They have community dinner and breakfast too, if you like. They will wash and fry your clothes if you arrive in the afternoon. Cotton towels and sheets. The best is they have great food and create a community experience with dinner conversation and a great lounge. Arrive early to enjoy some tapas, drinks, games, guitar or just great conversation as your clothes dry!
5 / 5 A breath of fresh air to stay here. A lovely and warm welcome. Bed with sheet, pillowcase, blanket, and towel. They even do your laundry if you want 🙏
The communal dinner and breakfast were top-notch. Freshly made (a delicious curry) and more than enough. A tasty boiled egg and fresh orange juice in the morning alongside all the other goodies.
An albergue with attention to detail. For the decor, the kitchen, but certainly also for the pilgrim!
A real thank you Gepke and Thijs, also for the delicious fresh apple pie 🍏
(I almost forgot to mention that you get the most beautiful stamp here 💕)
5 / 5 Excellent albergue! Everything was spotless clean. You can get a bed with linen and a towel, and they offer a delicious home-prepared dinner. The breakfast selection is amazing — one of the best I’ve had on the Camino. But the true highlight is the hosts — incredibly friendly and genuinely hospitable. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re walking the Camino Primitivo!
