Albergue Casa del Pescador

We have two rules about food when traveling: if there’s a line, get in it - and - if there’s a fat cat on the property, something yummy awaits. This place did not disappoint. The smoked trout is fantastic. The greens tasted liked the were picked that day. And the cat was delightfully fat and friendly. We enjoyed fresh apple cake for dessert. Worth a visit! We caught our hosts at 11am while they were turning over the Albergue. Thank you for accommodating our early lunch!

An absolutely great place to stay. Despite being close to the road staying here is quiet and peaceful. There is a pond to fish or just relax by, lots of space for outdoors games. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming,and they serve the best home cooked food on the camino - don't miss it!

Rooms were fine. Beds were clean and comfortable. No AC. Bathrooms were large and clean. Trout pond and surrounding hammocks are relaxing. In walking distance to town and restaurants. Owners aren't much for pleasantries but are kind, helpful, and caring.

Like an oasis of tranquillity. The trout pond is surrounded by an exquisite iris filled garden. Freshly picked home grown produce used for tasty menue. Hammocks to laze away the afternoon in the dappled sun. My all time favourite albergue. Single rooms also. A hidden gem.

Has a big grassy lawn, fishing pond, river access nearby. Owners speak English, Russian, Spanish, German. Excellent food. Good beds, bunks and facilities. Best stay of hole camino. Highly recommended. Worth stopping in the town just to stay there.
