Hotel Avenida III

Based upon reviews, we were somewhat dreading our stay. Luckily reviews had us fully aware to use the intercom to gain access ... otherwise this might have thrown us into confusion. But once we were through the front door, our key was in plain sight waiting for us. As was our luggage which was dropped off for us. Room was very comfortable ... amazingly clean, especially the bathroom. Linens were nice, and beds were comfy - we had two twin beds which were slightly oversized. We were not bothered by noise, and there were many other guests staying. We had brought our own food, so we did not need to find food outside the hotel. Internet worked good, signal somewhat weak but adequate. Very pleasant stay, especially for the price point. Road noise is a dull noise, so we slept just fine with the patio door open.

Really nice room. Very friendly and helpful owner. Only problem the restaurant was not open Saturday nights chef has Saturdays off. The owner provided a cold buffet and you could could eat all you wanted but really after walking we expected a hot meal. It was a hotel. Also their hostel Avenida 11, their chef had Saturdays off. There were no other restaurants close.

Arrival is not pleasant as you must use the intercom to the cafe to be let in the front door. Make sure your speak or understand enough Spanish for this. No staff was at the desk on the hotel side, and the bar at the hotel was closed. However the food at the cafe/restaurant was delicious and made up for it.

Ducked in here while walking the Camino de Santiago in a torrential downpour. I just had a basic sandwich and drink, before retiring to one of their hostel rooms, which was a bit dirty and run-down. However, coming in off the trail sopping wet, both the meal and the room were more than adequate for the night at a time when i just could not walk the additional kilometers to the next option.

It wasn’t that good what I thought . There are no one in the reception you have to call though a phone?! If you need to pay or eat you have to walk 100 meters I mean that not a lot but you should have told us that before. And it so hard to have a Conversation with them because they can’t speak well English
