Location is unbeatable. Really near to beach and best tapas bars. All of the reception staff are very kind. We have been grateful for our stay here - cleaning is absolutely impeccable. Strongly recommend. Comfy beds.
Me and my partner originally wanted to stay for 4 nights. We booked the place with booking.com because it had decent reviews. When we entered the room we found the walls and the ceiling are full of mould. (See pictures) The blankets and pillows felt damp. I did not understand how it is possible that they are allowed to rent out a room in this state. The room was just disgusting. When we got down to the reception and explained everything the first reaction was: "yeah we do not have another room." No aplogy or coming up to take a look. Then i said that we are leaving this place and gave the keys back because it is impossible (and not healthy) to stay in a room like that. All of a sudden it was possible to give another room. But we were not interested anymore to stay in this place. Furthermore they refuse to give the money back or give any kind of resolution let alone an apology. I'm really disappointed in the way how they are dealing with this. If they keep with their decision to not repay us I hope they will be smart enough to use the money to fix their hotel I give only one star for the location. A coruna is lovely place to visit. But if you want to enjoy your stay do not sleep at this hotel.
I needed a room in A Coruna after deciding to visit to check out the medieval festival (Fiestas del Apóstol Santiago, St James) post El Camino Frances 25. I found the Hotel Santa Catalina which was a reasonable price for the time. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The room was comfy with a nice hot shower.
Location perfect Price is good People here very helpful Just the room do not have noise cancellation, I can hear people flushing toilet and open doors.
They closed the reception at 3pm without notifying me when I made the booking. I arrived in the city after that and was left without a place to stay. They then denied me a refund because I did not ring the emergency number. I am tourist without a Spanish number so I was unable to do this. These people are thieves and completely unprofessional. Steer clear.
