This is the only 4-star hotel we have stayed during our 3-week Camino Portuguese Coastal Route plus post Camino holidays. We stayed for 2 nights and were totally pampered by the 4-star facilities and quality. Our room is so spacious with ocean view. We have a fridge, kettle and complimentary tea and coffee at our room. The bathroom is massive and equipped with hairdryer. We paid €13 per person for breakfast and there is a great variety of both hot and cold food. Our room rate is even cheaper than some one star and 2 star accommodation along the Camino De Santiago route.
This hotel is basic at best and quite frankly have no idea why it is a 4 star hotel. The rooms are extremely dated and could do with a serious refresh, mattresses are old and worn. There was no kettle or coffee machine. A ‘complimentary water’ was an unsealed bottle filled with tap water. There is no noise insulation, people staying next to me, above and below sounded like they were actually in my room. The only saving grace was the room was clean. Breakfast only available from 07.30. Room service available only from 20.30 until 23.00. Would not recommend this hotel at all.
Very good Hotel located in the dreamy landscapes of the atlantic coast, near Torre de Hercules, on foot reachable in about 20 min. A lot of possibilities for romantic walks around the sea shores and beaches too. Good breakfast, clean room with a beautiful sea view. It also has a decent Restaurant, although i am sure you‘ll find better ones in the city. There are Bus Lines near the hotel bringing you into the City in 10 min., which we Found very practical.
We had a very nice stay. The hotel is not in the center, so I think it’s always quiet there. We could even hear the ocean from our room. The staff were very nice and let us check in earlier than usual. The room was very clean, and the bed comfortable. The only thing we didn’t like was a strange smell in the hallway and in the room. We would come back.
Outside the city centre, but lots of free parking, views of the ocean from the room. Lovely sunrise over the water. Big room.
