I was so pleased to have stayed here yesterday. Our room A (1 door to enter ton2 separate rooms that shared 1 full bathroom; perfect for our family of 3. The short video is the view from our window. I forgot to take pics of the rooms, I was exhausted) was neatly cleaned and organized. Dinner was at 1900. Cristina (owner) and her assistant, Becky, prepared us a 6 course delicious homemade dinner (busy chatting with other pilgrims and managed only to take 3 shots as a sample of what we ate). She can accommodate breakfast time depending on pilgrims’ needs (a plus! Not all places do this). Ours was at 0800: had milk, coffee, bread, butter, jam, jamón serrano, boiled eggs, homemade madalaines (to die for!) -may not sound like much food but it was plentiful to us-. All fresh and delicious. Chatting with Cristina I found out she’s excited about learning English (similar to other places where we stayed, communication improvements are a work in progress, but once we have arrived, all was well) and works hard to run her home as a welcoming business. I’d stay here again! Cristina and Becky are attentive, welcoming, sweet and kind.
Wi-Fi not working in the dorm on the second floor Dinner is 80 euros for one adult, three children The meal is the worst of the worst. So I bought instant food It is said that it cannot be heated up, either. There's a lot of vomit in the dorm, and the bed smells like vomit There are several long hair. People should not come to places like this.
This is our second stay here, on our second Camino. Unfortunately, it was a Sunday and nothing was open in this quaint little village and don’t trust Google’s stated open times 😂 Three bars in village all within short walk. Elizabeth and Cristina made us feel at home here ( with the aid of google translate ) and our room was comfortable. The side of the house backing onto the road was a little noisy and there’s no a/c. Awesome shower!
La Posada Nueva did not disappoint. Pilgrims dinner was the most beautiful food.
