A spectacular bar I bumped into - in the middle of a dusty hot day in a little town along the Camino. The classy sophisticated ambiance of Singular’s Boutique Hotel bar was truly a jewel on my path!! I ordered a gin & tonic and was treated to their own crafted gin … it was fabulous!! To top off my experience (which was an extreme contrast from where I was to lay my pilgrim body for the night - the dinativo albergue in the church attic across the road) was extraordinary. Raul, the owner, gave me a private tour of his hotel, a project only completed in 2020. It was his dream come true!! No doubt he will be successful! The Rioja - wonderful part of Spain. We made a reservation many weeks before our vacation in La Rioja and chose this hotel (through booking.com). The hotel arbitrarily cancelled our booking due to "overbooking". I suspect what they mean is they put up their prices and decided to throw us out.

A real find... Melon gazpacho, tomato, salmon tartare, lamb chops, Iberian pork, cheesecake and brownie... I'll definitely be back to try more dishes...
