Chef took care of me twice! I arrived and the kitchen was going to close for a short break in 15 minutes. He said not to worry, that he would take orders until four. I was told at the reception desk that dinner was until 9 pm. I ordered at 8:30 and a server went to speak with the chef; she told me on Sundays the kitchen closes at 8:30, but the chef again said not to worry. He was so sweet and such a gentleman. Receptionist was kind and made sure my key worked, thank goodness, because at first it didn’t. The place was not busy so she upgraded me to a private one bedroom with a private bathroom for the same price I had booked originally. She took my bag and was kind. Place was clean and shower was good. Cozy.
A very lovely place and very nice service. I cannot talk about the room, as we only stoped for a little food break on our way to Santiago. The food we go tasted great and the presentation was very well done. The coffees were (in my opinion) very well done, none of that overall bitter or burnt, while not being too watered down by the milk. The cake we had looked dense, while in fact was fluffy which was a delight.
Great food! This was a fun stop on the Camino.
My experience was great and I would certainly recommend this hotel. However one of the rooms did have a plumbing issue early in the morning and only the chef was working. The gardens are lovely and the food is delicious. Such kind people and perfect for the Camino
