I have been on three Caminos from Saint Jean. I have stayed in numerous Albergues but none like this! David, Kira, Cindy and Oreo have true hearts and spirits of the Camino. I was treated like a family member. David cooks ten times better than my mother! The salad, Pizza, local alcohol, and conversation was stellar. If I decide to do another Camino this is a must stop!!!!
My wife and I stopped in for a salad, a slice of pizza and coke. The staff was very friendly, the location was comfortable and the food was great. The salad was very fresh. The best I've had since I've been in Spain. And the pizza was perfect for the Camino. Thin and crispy with good toppings. Lots of good vegetarian options, too.
We had dinner here because we had a craving for pizza, but have a hard time finding vegan menus, let alone vegan pizza. From the salad to the pizza this place did not disappoint. The toppings offered in this handmade pizza are plenty, from spinach to mushrooms to cilantro. And the atmosphere of the place only adds to the experience
5 stars aren't enough. I was treated to an amazing salad with cheese, balsamic, and what else do you really need? Oh, garlic bread? Well we had that too and it was amazing. The pizza here is the magnum opus of pilgrims meals. Even the Italian on our table was impressed. The rooms are comfortable and everything is very reasonably priced. The hosts are friendly (though sadly Oreo was a bit ill) and frankly there is nothing to fault this place.
David and his lovely girlfriend were amazing hosts, they were super cool and fun. The pizza was SO GOOD and so was the salad and garlic bread David made for us. Most of all, Oreo the dog was the sweetest pup I've ever met! Comfy beds and clean bathroom. The restaurant is super funky and cool too. Lovely stay. Definitely stop by, it's overall a great stay.
