This is a more compact hostal in an old building. Out of three rooms, we had the smallest one with four beds (as I remember it). The room was clean as were the bathroom (with the shower) and the kitchen downstairs. The standard is a bit dated, but still fully functional for a well-functioning hostal. In my opinion, the place has a comfortable atmosphere that adds to the pilgrim feeling. While we weren't the first to arrive in the day, we got the best room at the place, I think; this might be because we booked three beds in advance.

By far, this was the worst experience we'd had on the entire Camino de Santiago. The bathrooms were very unkempt. The mattresses were infested with bedbugs. We woke up in the middle of the night surrounded by bedbugs biting us. We had to leave the hostel (since the owner wasn't there) and sleep on the street. When we told the owner, she called us liars and refused to return our money. She ended up saying she'd make a transfer, but she said it to get us to leave, since the transfer never arrived, nor did she take our calls again. DO NOT SLEEP HERE. It's dangerous for your health, and the owner is a scammer.

We just completed the Camino, and this was one of the best. Small, rustic, and cozy. Clean, and with a fully equipped kitchen. It's true that you only see the hospitaleros to collect their money and little else, but we didn't need anything because we searched and found everything we needed. The bathrooms are shared by boys and girls, and I didn't like that much. Very clean and very well located, both for the city center and for continuing the Camino.
