This is a more compact hostal in an old building. Out of three rooms, we had the smallest one with four beds (as I remember it). The room was clean as were the bathroom (with the shower) and the kitchen downstairs. The standard is a bit dated, but still fully functional for a well-functioning hostal. In my opinion, the place has a comfortable atmosphere that adds to the pilgrim feeling. While we weren't the first to arrive in the day, we got the best room at the place, I think; this might be because we booked three beds in advance.

Close to Cathedral and Chapel
The worst experience of the entire Camino de Santiago that we had by far. The toilets were very neglected. The mattresses were infested with bed bugs. We woke up in the middle of the night surrounded by bed bugs that were biting us. We had to leave the hostel (since the owner was not there) and sleep on the street. When we told the owner, she took us for liars and didn't want to give us our money back. He ended up saying that he would make a transfer for us, but he said it so that we would leave, since the transfer never arrived nor did he ever take any call from us again. DO NOT SLEEP HERE. It is dangerous for your health, and the owner is a scammer.
2012-09-12 At that time I moved on because the hostel was somehow not "mine": I felt uncomfortable after the communication at reception, but it was clean. It's sad when you read the reports from here after more than 10 years. :-(
