Albergue A casa de Carmen

Enchanting place with beautiful views down an idyllic valley. Our Camino travel agency did not have clear instructions for a meeting point and we mistakenly believed it was Casa de Carmen. The owner was extremely gracious and helpful. He even drove us to the correct meeting place without expectation of payment. He refused to take our money. We spoke to other guests during our short visit and they raved about the clean rooms and friendly service. I highly recommend staying here if you're walking the camino.

Definitely need to stop by this beautiful house!!! It’s a perfect place for peregrinos! They have very delicious Garlicia meal with good price and the owner are super nice people. You will feel they welcome you like it’s your home. They treat us very friendly and nice. The house has magic, you feel very relaxed once you enter it. it is a classical and elegant house with history, you will see the fabulous decorations like museum! If you are walking on the way of Camino De Santiago, you definitely need to stop by here even just have one class of wine! Personally highly recommended the peregrinó meal! In the end, don’t forget to take some water in the historical fountain ( since 1946) in front of house, the water is sweet , fresh and spiritual.

La casa di Carmen was a very important place for me. Carmen and Pedro gave me a special rest, in a very clean and quiet room, with comfortable and large bathrooms. Carmen spent a lot of time with me and treat me really like a special guest, I'm so glad to meet her in my Camino. The place is a nature's paradise. Thanks Carmen, you know that I will come to visit you again! highly recommended.

I stayed here in May 2017 and had such a great experience i brought a group of friends back to Casa de Carmen on my 2018 Camino a few days ago. . The staff were fantastic but the host was totally rude to so many including staff it was a common discussion point after the dinner. Refusing olive oil for bread, no one was loud but she was constantly telling people to be quiet, our Spanish speaking person commented on how arrogant the host was when trying to understand the menu, rudely pushing on guests chairs if they were in her way & meal plates nearly thrown onto tables.. so many items I am leaving out here but to finish, in 2 Caminos this is the only place I have seen so many people complaining about clothing items disappearing from the washing line. I would never stay or recommend this Albergue again

The host was very ungracious. We stayed in a private room in the house and had a pretty bad time because how uninviting she was. Like I almost felt she was going to tell us to leave in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. We could hear her ranting for almost an hour downstairs, yelling at her staff. This was after being extremely rude to us all evening. She is a tyrant. They turned the heat off around 10PM and it was incredibly cold all night. Meal was pretty bad too and I felt really bad for the poor waitress. She was soo nervous, the old lady must yell at her constantly. This was all over a month ago. I wanted to wait until we left Spain before writing a review as I thought she might chase us down on the Camino for saying bad things.
