I walked the Camino de Santiago in September 2025 and stayed in the Hotel Abba for a few days. The hotel is attached to the university and is a magnificent building in a good location ( on the camino route out of the city ) . The twin hotel room was quite large with its own balcony outside . The bathroom was equally lovely too. The breakfast salon was quite large with an extensive selections of international options including spanish too . I really enjoyed the breakfasts !! Overall i had a very positive experience in the hotel and i would return for sure again. For your information , my Camino travel partners were @Magichillholidays located in Ireland and it was a good selection on their part to recommend this hotel.
It was our third time staying at the ABBA Burgos - we just love it here. The receptionist was super welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was as always delicious and everything was clean. The hotel is perfectly situated and you can reach the cathedral by foot. This time we even had a room facing the cathedral which was stunning at night. Excellent hotel. The rooms are spacious, the towels are big and beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent. One of the bests breakfast buffets I tried in Spain. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The 3 course dinner is really good too.
Excellent location, just below the castle and a few minutes from the cathedral. Extremely helpful front-desk staff, and good breakfasts featuring a marvelously silent fresh-orange-juice machine. I recommend the room service 'entrecot'!
Totally disappointing as it was the best choice from google and chat got in the area as a spa hotel. The hotel is clean, the staff nice and the size of the deluxe room is very nice. However the rooms are very old with carpet in the floor, and all the rooms are connected as the balcony is the same with plastic grass pretending is a garden. The pool it’s like my own at home and even colder. The outdoor sunbathing area is ridiculous small. We arrived 1 hour ago and we are already fed up. The sauna is for one person, inside each one of the male and female bathrooms, and it was turned off.
