If I could give this place zero stars I would. I recommend no one stay in this Albergue. It holds no value to the original purpose of an Albergue. I have never met two people who are so rude and dismissive in my life. My partner and I are not Spanish, but we learnt several phases to communicate with Spanish people to be respectful. When we arrived the two men at reception were dealing with a father and son in front of us, so we waited our turn. When they'd finished, we said hello and we apologised for not speaking any Spanish. The two men just looked at us, then spoke amongst themselves for 10 minutes. Eventually, one snapped his fingers at me and demanded our "passports". After 10 minutes, and scoffing at our pilgrim credential, he then demanded €20 euro each. After another 10 minutes, without any form of communication other than a slip with our bunk numbers, we were shooed off with a wave of their hands like we were the biggest inconvenience they'd set their eyes on with absolutely no direction of where to go. The pilgrims have between 6am and 8am to leave. At 6am, all the lights are turned on, regardless of whether you want to wake up later, and they blast very loud music. This music plays from 6am until 8am. At first I thought it was someone's alarm, but nope, just them being completely selfish and rude. Heaven forbid someone chose to have a rest day in Burgos. Also, the one and only door in and out is locked overnight, and only opened at 6am which I think is a complete health and safety risk. Are we all meant to burn to death if there is a fire? My partner and I had chosen to leave later in the morning, so we were shocked by the fact that we had to be out the door by 8am on the dot. Most places we've stayed at so far are fairly flexible with the window of check out time. Down in the kitchen, it was 7:55am and my partner was using the bathroom, and one of the very rude and arrogant receptionists came in and screamed at me in Spanish, saying what I could only assume was to get out now. When I tried to explain my partner was in the toilet, he just tapped his wrist where there was a non-existent watch. I have never been so shocked and horrified at the treatment we received. And may I point out that we had paid to use these facilities. As a place that houses pilgrims and follows along with the practice of the pilgrimage, I am incredibly disappointed in the Albergue inability to show grace and kindness. It really cast a deep shadow over our heads that day during our pilgrimage.

Terrible - fine building but everything missing (soap, recipe, cutlery) but mostly a basic politeness: staff woman was intimidating and rude. Makes you feel more like in a military barrack than anything to do with Christianity.

Very dangerous bunk beds, very difficult to get down from the top bunk also no safety bar so easy to fall of. Signs say no alcohol allowed, but beer vending machine available. No soap in any toilets or shower. Could be a great place but it's not.But a great location

Great municipal albergue. Big rooms but bunks divided into groups of 4. Top ladder hard to use. Only 2 bathrooms on each floor - but lots of showers. No kitchen.

I stayed at this during my Camino Sept 2024 because of its central location. Everything was fine with my stay until the morning when the male receptionist woke everyone up angrily, lights on, approaching each bed and told people to leave at 6:30am. Check out is at 8:00am, so I returned to bed. This was my mistake, because I ended leaving the place a little less than 10 minutes after 8:00. Despite apologizing, the male receptionist berated and yelled at me to get out. I understand that I was late, but the yelling was completely rude and unnecessary.
