5 / 5 I had a great experience here! Very comfortable, clean, peaceful, and a nice place to get some rest. Wonderful hosts.
Optional mass at 7:30, blessing by priest at 7:50, and dinner at 8. Small prayer after dinner. You don’t need to be religious or Catholic.
No alarms allowed. Music wakes you up at 6:30am.
I had a restful sleep here.
Like some said, only pilgrims who travel by foot from another town the day before due to limited capacity.
5 / 5 This place is the nicest place I’ve stayed at so far since leaving Saint Jean Pied de Port. It has a beautiful peaceful feel to it. The hospitelerios are a French husband and wife team who made me feel very welcome. The Priest prayed a blessing over us pilgrims and we enjoyed a delicious evening meal together. The beds were so comfortable and only a few pilgrims in tonight.
I highly recommend a stay after a long days walking here.
5 / 5 This place is strictly for pilgrims on the EL Camino. But be in awe the moment you step in, more so If you had already stayed at some other questionable ones! If you are prepared to abide by the in-house rules, not every one's cup of tea, then be prepared for the best restful night you can have, bathe yourself into the warmest welcoming you will ever receive from the host and helpers, all volunteers, doing it all for your one night of comfort, from the moment you walk in to when you leave, basically from 5 am to 11/12 midnight 7 days a week for years. Judge for yourself. Disfruta.
3 / 5 It is super fancy, filled with marble and looks like recently built/renovated, however the French woman working there rather fits in the military than welcoming pilgrims. She gives orders, she hushes you down ("people pray day and night in the chapel, shhh!"), while she is the one who speaks in a loud voice.
Thanks to her we almost had no accommodation the next day because she doesn't allow you to leave before 8am (others needed to walk 10 extra kilometers because of this).
5 / 5 I had a very good experience at this albergue, they open at 12:00 and close at 20:00. The bed is 5€ and the communitary dinner and breakfast are donativo offers. The host is very nice and welcoming. After the dinner, there is communitary preparation of the breakfast, as well as washing the dishes after the dinner meal. After dinner, there is a short spiritual moment of prays and sharing different experiences from the Cammino. Everything is very modern and new. Spacious bathrooms divided into men and women.
PS: Before booking, you have to accept the rules of the house which include waking up NOT before 7:00.
