I would not reccomend this Hostel. My room wasn't very clean, the floor was dusty and full with crumbs. I was right next to the stairs so I did not get any sleep:/ Also ALL THE KEYS FIT IN EVERY LOCK! We booked two rooms and I thought I gave my friend the key to the wrong room but turns out they where the same! Not very safe! At least when you get a taxi to the inner part of the city, it is very beautiful.
Acceptable for the very low price. I spent two days in Burgos, one night in the hostel. On the second day, I couldn't use my phone, which I was using to take photos, because the only outlet in the room didn't have power and I couldn't charge it. I thought my phone was broken. Because of this, I didn't charge it the next day at a café and missed out on taking many photos I would have liked. Back in Madrid, my phone charged perfectly. It's surprising they don't maintain their facilities.
There's no reception; you have to go to another hostel nearby to get the keys, and not before 4:00 PM. The double room was small, old, and extremely hot, without even a fan. The bathroom was small, uncomfortable, and everything was outdated. There's also a terrace that connects to other rooms, so you can't even keep the window wide open (which was broken, by the way). The room was very noisy; you could hear the toilet flushing all night.
A place that serves its purpose perfectly: a spacious and well-equipped room, a bathroom with everything you need, good cleanliness, and a peaceful atmosphere. One thing to note, though not a major issue, is that the keys are collected from another hostel across the street.
We went to check in, and they sent us to another hostel across the street. When we arrived, there was no room "115," no one at reception, and they wouldn't answer the phone. On the tenth try, they answered the phone and told us to return to the original hostel, where we were finally able to stay after carrying our suitcases three times. The receptionist at the hostel where we checked in (Hostal Acanto) was truly incompetent; he didn't apologize or say goodnight after his mistake. Before serving us, he did something similar to another couple. WiFi is nonexistent, even though it advertises it as being available.
