Almost by chance, we stopped for breakfast at this tienda-pension. We were greeted with kindness and courtesy. A magical place to recharge.
The Gabino Pension (I'm not talking about the Gabino Hostel here) located in El Ganso, 13 km west of Astorga, is a happy discovery on the way. The service offered is of high quality (rooms equipped with kitchen) and the welcome is deeply kind and human! Congratulations.
Maria, the owner, is very pleasant and offers a warm welcome. The room was very spacious with a very comfortable large bed. It had two separate areas, with a large living area with a smaller bed, a sofa, a table, and a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, a coffee maker, and more. A complimentary basket was provided for guests containing coffee capsules, teas, cocoa powder, candy, and more. A very thoughtful touch. There's also a shop where you can buy drinks, food, gifts, and more. Thank you very much. I hope to return.
The room was super clean and cozy, with everything you needed. María is a delight; she made us feel right at home. Thank you, María!!!
