This place is so good and it all starts with Alphonso. He greets you clearly in almost any language it seems and gives you a quick guide as to how the albergue works. The crucial balance is looking at tired pilgrims and working out what they can hear and what is clearly being missed. The boot cupboard as you come in keeps the rest of the place smelling beautifully. The next morning a mix up over sticks was quietly dealt with. Some pilgrims can lose it in the mornings, afternoon and evenings so hats off for not rising to the bait. I'll make a point of staying here again as the mix of people on the ground floor over the course of the afternoon and evening made for a great atmosphere. The bunks clearly work as the snorers were a lot quieter inside their cubicles. The angles of the room I was in worked very well too. Bar Pigor one of my favourites in Estella is 3 minutes away so I grabbed a lovely bit of food before heading back for a quick chat with my newest best friend from Czechia. I wonder if he acquired the wrong stick on the morning😴. Thank you
Lovely Albergue! Very peaceful, restful, with lots of privacy with the curtains. Sometimes albergues feel like orphanages… this one felt more like a hotel with a very tiny room :) Overall, it was immaculate and the hosts were kind and helpful! I could tell this was a passion for them to take care of pilgrims! 🥹❤️
One of the best hostel I stayed at on the Camino this far! Everything is new and super clean, beds are comfy and offer a lot of privacy. The manager Adriana was super friendly and welcoming, made us feel right at home after a long day of walking.
Can't think of a single thing that could've been better. Stayed in a private room on the top floor with my kids. Everything perfectly clean and functional. Quick load of laundry for a few euro. Breakfast was just right. Staff were very friendly and had beautiful smiles. I suppose the elevator could've been faster, but maybe it was just designed to encourage taking the stairs. 😉 Would gladly stay again.
We are big fans of this place! I recently had my first stay here but my wife has stayed more than once. The owners are lovely and really go above and beyond for weary pilgrims (Adri spent a load of time researching travel options for us when our bus fell through). Yeah, fantastic place. We'll stay here again!
