Albergue-Restaurante Casa Cruceiro de Ferreiros

Spacious, simple albergue. No kitchen, but the pilgrims’ menu dinner at the cafe owned by the same people was good. Plugs at every bed and large empty room and outside space for sitting / relaxing.

We have all discovered bites very much resembling bed bugs the morning after our stay. Definitely some type of insect infestation, maybe just mites. But, the bites and welts on my face are in a linear progression. Two of us did examine for bedbugs and did not find any on the mattresses. Everything else was lovely and it was clean. Definitely lacking a kitchen or even a simple hotpot. The coffee vending machine was not functional. We loved this little place and the food was delicious. Bedbugs can happen anywhere.

The place is lovely, has great showers and comfortable beds, nice comun area. I gave 3 stars because there is nothing to cook in the kitchen, no silverware or plates, noting just a microwave, the other reason is because the cleaning lady is always in a bad mood and is extremely disrespectful, hopefully she gets fired so guest can be more relaxed and not dealing with a grumpy old lady.

Great place to have a hearty breakfast when coming from Sarria. They offer a full 3-course meal for just 10 euros that includes wine and dessert. Very homemade style cooking, perfect place to recharge.

Casa Cruceiro is a hidden little gem of an Alberge. The staff is very friendly. The sleeping quarters are clean and the common area can accommodate many guests comfortably. If you need a stop to stop before Portomarin, you won't be disappointed by chosing Casa Cruceiro.
