Great location in terms of being within 10 minutes walking of old town and across the street from the mall — but not particularly picturesque where it is itself. Great parking — with lots of huge underground spots! Straight up luxurious next to some places we’ve had to try and fit our SUV before. Decent breakfast included, but being underground, not exactly somewhere I’d eat otherwise. Nice spacious rooms, but gets a bit musty at night since they can’t always run A/C in the building if they’re heating the first floors at night.
Not bad for the price, could be worse but the hotel feels very tired. Needs urgent updating. Could do with a good clean, just see the pictures I took of the entrance. It’s full of cigarette butts on the floor.
In general a good hotel appropriate for the price! Also the rooms are in an appropriate condition and the staff if nice. However, I have a very narrow point of view here - I booked this hotel because it was one of the few options with a gym and the gym is quite poor. Normally gyms at hotel aren’t very good, but this one was missing half the weights from the weights rack and just didn’t do the job for me.
AC Hotel Leon San Antonio was just as pleasant on my second visit as it was on my first. Located in a residential part of the city within a reasonably close walking distance to the historic center (10 - 15 mins), the hotel is also located within a few minutes of a river that is lined with paths for walking, jogging, cycling or just sitting down enjoying the day. The AC Lounge on the underground floor serves breakfast and other meals throughout the day. The fitness room on the top floor has two spin bikes and a treadmill and an elliptical along with free weights. There is also a Turkish bath (aka steam room) available. Service is friendly and efficient and rooms are very clean. The only downside of any is that the hardwood floors help sound travel. At the same time the hardwood floors give the rooms a very clean feel. Definitely recommend and will return.
The hotel is clean with comfortable rooms. Some things are a bit outdated and old but all in all the building is in good shape. The bathroom is very bright colored. The entrance to the garage is a bit tricky to find and the parking lots are quite small, keep this in mind if you come with the car. Breakfast is good, but I cannot recommend dinner - there are better choices close to the hotel for dinner. A supermarket is close by at the shopping mall, everything else in the city is also in walking distance.
