it was a friendly welcome. in the sleeping room the heating was turned on. a sleeping bag is recommended. otherwise a thick blanket costs 3€ for rental. The stay costs 10€. On the ceiling of the window in the shower room and on the shower curtains is mold which is bad for health. It can be removed with anti mold spray containing chlorine. at 7pm you can visit a mass and hear nons singing. out of all pilgrims i was the only one who visited it. i went to the mass out of respect and openness. during the mass, because i'm not religious, i did not cross myself (did not make the the sign of the cross). That aroused irritation on one of the hosts of the albergue. He expected me to explain it in Spanish even though I told him earlier that I don't speak Spanish well. The front door of the albergue is closed from 10pm. The departure time is until 8am.

Basic municipal albergue - has everything you need but no bells and whistles so to speak (no blankets, showers were either very cold for some and boiling for others). Good location and helpful staff who let me leave my bag between 8 and 12 the next day to explore León more

They sell themselves as donativo based however the reality that they will not accept less than 10 euros, I had credit card issues and could not pay. They treated me appallingly. This is a church establishment, shocking deplorable and all the rest, the church has alot to learn. Shame on you.

Simple, clean albergue. Split rooms for men and woman. Small dining area with only a microwave. No garden and little space to hang laundry, but great location in the city.

Im grateful for the existence of this Albergue run by hospitelaros and the Benedictine Sisters. It sleeps a lot of pilgrims so it can be a squeeze but overall everything works. Kitchen-wise it is small with a fridge, a small electric kettle and a small microwave, eating utensils are sufficient. The location is great and in the evening there is mass and pilgrims blessing conducted by the Sisters. A pleasant and memorable experience.
