3 / 5 Excellent central location. Breakfast was plentiful and good value. Rooms slightly dated and the air conditioning was insufficient.
There was not enough parking when we arrived but the local car park was just around the corner and costs the same as the hotel car park. It was not obvious where to park the car when we first arrived however.
Not many amenities, literally just a room and breakfast area, geared towards a city break.
4 / 5 This Hotel is only 10-15 mins from anywhere you'd want to go in Leon. While perhaps a little faded in parts I found it very pleasant. My room was very large, clean and with a very modern bathroom. Breakfast was good and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would be happy to stay again.
3 / 5 The property has a great location, but there are several important things to consider before booking.
First, the rooms are quite dated—just like the photos suggest—and unfortunately not very clean. The suite I booked offered plenty of space, but the condition was disappointing. The walls were dirty, doors covered in scratches with peeling paint, and the TV was smaller than a standard computer monitor. The wooden closets were so old and dusty that we didn’t even use them. It’s hard to understand how a hotel with good reviews allows this level of room maintenance. If the intention was to give the room a vintage feel, there are better ways to do so while still keeping it clean and inviting.
The bathroom was the only area that appeared somewhat updated, but it had poor lighting, making it feel dim.
Accessibility is another issue. The hotel entrance has about ten steps and no ramp, which is a major inconvenience for guests with limited mobility or those traveling with heavy luggage—as I was. There is a supposed lift for disabled access, but it seemed to require a special key and wasn’t readily available.
Lastly, parking is a challenge. The front unloading area is very limited—if there are three cars there, you’re out of luck. Be prepared to circle the area or park in the nearest public lot, which is about two blocks away—not ideal if you’re traveling with a family and multiple suitcases.
The only reason I’m giving this hotel 3 stars is because of its excellent location. Otherwise, it would have been lower.
4 / 5 The hotel is a bit outdated and you feel it mainly in the room, those who like antique furniture may like this place, but not particularly technological. The room I received was large and spacious with a balcony, but due to the noise of the street renovation I preferred a closed window. Hotel in a very central location, everything within walking distance, very helpful staff, reasonable breakfast for those looking for it, reasonable price in relation to the value.
5 / 5 PROS: location, price, rooms (but you have to get a renovated room) IF YOU GET A SUITE ASK FOR A ROOM IN THE 20’s (like room 320,420 etc) all tge other suites are way smaller.
CONS: no gym! , lousy AC, random
Bad smells in hallways
*parking available for 14 euros a night in a very tight (but manageable) garage in the same building.
