Hostal Gárgola León

I was just another pilgrim on my way to Santiago when I decided to stop for the night in León. I didn´t call to make a reservation, I just walked in and asked for a room. All I needed at the time was a place to rest and recover from the arduous walk that day. I must have been very comfortable because I slept like a log. The following morning, after a long shower I had breakfast in the bar, ordered a sandwich for the road and left soon after. What can I say about the place, for my needs it was perfect. The room was clean and tidy upon my arrival and although I only had time to have breakfast before setting off again, I was left with the desire to stay on for lunch just to get a taste of some of the home cooking they were offering as part of their daily menu. I certainly have nothing to complain about, in any case, quite the opposite. Most definitely good value for money for someone on a tight budget like myself. If I ever return to León again I know where I can find a warm, friendly and honest welcome.

Hello, I was left with a pleasant taste in my mouth, the ladies who assisted me, both by phone and the lady in person, were excellent, the room I had was clean, comfortable and gave a feeling of tranquility, for the price it is super great . Without a doubt, every time I come to León I will stay at La Gargola. I'm just sorry that the restaurant was closed, I hope they open it. Greetings and thanks for your attention.

Tatty, it perfectly defines our stay. Towels with holes and bleach stains. No towel rack, no glass, no anything. Broken or hidden outlets behind the headboards, which, since they are not fixed, make noise every time you move in the bed. In short, laughing for not crying..
