The main problem with this hotel is its automated digital key system. Due to a mismatch or lack of coordination between Booking.com and the hotel, my reservation was canceled after I had already payed, checked in, taken a shower, and left my belongings in the room. When I came back from a walk, I found my digital keys deactivated. I had to stand outside and speak to several people through the intercom (like a call center that passes the issue from one area to another) just to be allowed back into the hotel and my room. Automation in the worst possible way.
No drinkable water in this hotel...no notice about that before you reserve....no personal at front desk....we dont feel safe with electronic Keys with your phone to access the hotel and your room....they send you a link via text and check in at 2h00 is inconvenient for pilgrims. This was not mentioned before the reservation...we have asked to be refunded without success...avoid this Hostal
Pro: Great Central location near cathedral in quiet street. Cheap, 39Eur double room with ensuite. Friendly staff. Con: Very smoky room, small room, soft uncomfortable bed, basic bathroom, poor soundproofing. No other facilities like kitchen or lounge. Summary: Good choice if on a budget but avoid if you don't like noise or want a bit of room.
"It was worth having it at an affordable price. Its location is the best, right in the middle of the city. However, the room lighting is poor. The good thing is that it has a private bathroom inside the twin room, and the cleaning service is great. The only bad thing is that they took my personal towel, and when I asked the reception, they didn't manage to get it back."
Well, it's extremely centric and there are tapa bars and restaurants everywhere. The rooms are clean. Otherwise it feels like it hasn't been renovated for 20 or so years, the room we got was noisy (ac machines whirring all night, but it wasn't too bad) and it was badly lit and ventilated. Toilet was dripping too during our stay (inside) and there wasn't any shampoo. For 50 euros, you're paying for the excellent location and that's it
